Step 1: Complete Your Composition
1. Open your project in Adobe After Effects.
2. Ensure that your composition is ready for export, adjusting "Duration" in "Composition Settings" to trim your video if required.
Step 2: Choose the AVI Export Format
1. Go to the "File" menu and select "Add to Render Queue."
2. In "Output Module", choose the "AVI" format from the format dropdown list.
Step 3: Configure AVI Settings
1. Select the output path and change the file name by clicking on "Output To".
2. Click "Render" at the top right of the render queue window to start the export process.
Step 4: Convert AVI to MP4 using HandBrake
1. Download and install HandBrake (https://handbrake.fr/), a free video converter.
2. Open HandBrake and click on the "Source" button to import the AVI file you just exported.
Step 5: Choose Output Settings in HandBrake
1. Select a suitable preset from the "Presets" sidebar on the right-hand side. Ensure that the MP4 format setting is selected.
2. Adjust settings like video codec, resolution, and frame rate if needed. If your video has borders, it may be automatically cropped. To fix this, go to the "Dimensions" window and set "Cropping" to automatic, and ensure all options are 0.
Step 8: Set Output Destination
1. Click on the "Browse" button to choose the destination folder for the converted MP4 file.
2. Name your file in the "File Name" field.
Step 9: Start the Conversion
1. Click the green "Start Encode" button in HandBrake to begin the conversion process.
2. Once the conversion is complete, navigate to the destination folder you specified.
Your video is now ready in MP4 format, suitable for sharing
